Return / Exchange Policy
Transcat will take back products ordered online within 30 days of purchase for full credit (excluding special-order items). No restocking fees will be assessed if the RMA is requested within 2 weeks of the invoice date. After 2 weeks, restocking fees of up to 20% will apply. RMAs are valid for 30 days. Items received beyond the 30-day time limit will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender. Calibration services are non-returnable.
Just send the defective item back within 30 days and Transcat will provide a replacement unit as quickly as possible. Transcat will handle all warranty claims for you. We never ask you to contact the manufacturer directly.
How to Make a Return:
Call 1-888-977-0355 to arrange for a return or to replace an item. When requesting a return authorization, please advise the reason for the return, date of purchase, your P.O. number, and our invoice number. This will expedite proper adjustment of your account. Credit for items returned will be granted only if all of the following conditions are met: 1.) Product being returned has not been used or altered in any way; 2.) No stickers, markings or labels can be added to the product or box; 3.) All accessories and packaging are undamaged, unused, and with the unit; 4.) All manuals, documentation and applicable calibration certificates are returned and unaltered; 5.) The request for return authorization is within two weeks of the invoice date; 6.) Items are received back within 30 calendar days of receipt of the RMA#; 7.) The request for return is not for a special-order item.
It is the customer’s responsibility to prepay all return shipping costs.
The following items are non-cancelable and non-returnable:
- Special-order items, defined as items that are not out of existing inventory, are customized, and/or items that include factory-installed options
- Calibration services performed on your new product purchase
- Consumable items or accessories such as batteries, books or software
- Shipping fees
